In 2014, Santiago de Chile. Gregorio (32), is an illegal immigrant who enters the Costanera mall illegally at night with the intention of filming a video. Driven by his obsession, he films in complete silence as he explores the structure, entering the less illuminated corridors and stopping in front of empty stores. When he reaches the third floor, he discovers in the penumbra Maria (23), a disfigured woman covered in bandages, an exotic midnight dress and golden jewelry. She, as if expecting it, jumps into the void when discovered, but does not leave a corpse on the ground. Gregorio, upon returning to his room and insulted by his landlady La Mona (57), reviews the video clips and confirms that he has filmed the suicide. The camera's tape behaves strangely. Gregorio experiences nausea, itching and vertigo; his body emits an unbearable odor. The constant repetition of the video clip triggers a terrifying vision of Maria. In shock, he turns off the computer and discovers a female ear on his neck. When he removes his shirt, he reveals Maria's face growing on his back. After a few hours, Gregorio's body has changed. His flesh is rotting and his own body of Maria is emerging from his interior, leading him to a state of despair. Deciding, dragged by horror, to amputate Maria's body from his own using a knife. Finally, Gregorio returns to the Costanera mall, enters the underground channels of Santiago, returns to the floor where he witnessed Maria's suicide, leaves the camera on the ground with the intention of recording one last video, and then jumps into the void.
